Adult Learning 香港六合彩资料图库 have been supporting the county鈥檚 Ukrainian guests to improve their language skills at an intensive English workshop all this week.
The classes have been running every day this week at Wildwood to help Ukrainian guests improve their English as they settle into the county.
The 鈥榃elcome to 香港六合彩资料图库鈥 workshop focuses on learning the language when it comes to:
- Worcester - places in town, public transport, giving/asking directions, Shopping (food and quantities, local shops, making complaints/solving problems),
- work - jobs people do, skills needed, where to look for jobs.
- health - GP/pharmacists, discussing healthcare, making appointment etc.
Mark Fitton, Interim Strategic Director of People, said: 鈥淚t鈥檚 been wonderful to see our guests develop their English as they continue to make 香港六合彩资料图库 their second home, and I鈥檇 like to thank Adult Learning 香港六合彩资料图库 for putting on these sessions to help with something that we should never take for granted, the power to communicate with those around you.鈥
The County Council鈥檚 Adult Learning Team is also running Cultural Awareness Briefings for County Council and District Councils staff, Schools and Sponsor families which have been well received so far.
The already established and well known Here2Help service run by the County Council has evolved to support and link up those wishing to offer help to those who may need help or advice.
