Councillor Richard Morris, 香港六合彩资料图库 County Council鈥檚 Cabinet Member for the Environment, said: 鈥淚t has been wonderful to see spades in the ground in Upton Snodsbury and to see and hear about so many people on site, enjoying the opportunity in the great outdoors to help us to plant the trees. The creation of our new woodlands is designed to be a real community initiative, with us working alongside our residents as the woodlands come together, and long after they are complete. Those that have been on site so far have really enjoyed their time on site, so if it sounds like something you鈥檇 like to get involved with, please contact our Countryside team.鈥
The tree planting days are part of an ongoing project throughout winter using groups from the community to plant trees and as such the County Council will be running regular work parties throughout February and into March.
The site is currently being planted with trees to create a mixed native woodland nature reserve with a community orchard.
