County Council looking forward to National Apprenticeship Week next week

National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) 2022 is just days away and this year 香港六合彩资料图库 County Council want to highlight the benefits of becoming an apprentice.

As of November 2021, there were 212 apprentices inside the council鈥檚 workforce across 香港六合彩资料图库 County Council, 香港六合彩资料图库 Children First and the school community 鈥 and this is constantly growing!

85% of all apprentices within the council network either secure permanent roles or gain employment with other employers, with the remaining 15% going on to further full-time education, further employment, or business opportunities.

For those who aren鈥檛 familiar with the 鈥榳hat鈥 element of apprenticeships, according to , an apprenticeship is a real job where you learn, gain experience, and get paid all at once.

Throughout the week, across their social channels the County Council will be looking to share fact files to help explain what an apprenticeship is, who they鈥檙e for, how to get one, and the benefits of apprenticeships not only from an employee perspective, but an employer perspective as well.

There will be testimonials shared from current County Council apprentices to highlight their experiences, and there will also be resources shared for help on writing a CV and cover letter, and how to find an apprenticeship nationwide and locally.

I would urge anyone struggling to decide their next steps to contact our Careers Worcs Team or attend a roadshow this Spring.鈥

Careers 香港六合彩资料图库 will be hosting a series of roadshows for those aged 15 to 24 throughout the county within March and April between 4pm to 8pm on the following dates:

  • Wednesday 2 March, The Abbey Hotel, Malvern
  • Wednesday 9 March, The Hive, Worcester
  • Wednesday 16 March, The Abbey Hotel, Redditch
  • Wednesday 30 March, Gainsborough Hotel, Kidderminster
  • Thursday 31 March, Evesham Football Club
  • Thursday 7 April, Holiday Inn Birmingham, Bromsgrove

 At the Roadshows, attendees will be able to discuss their options with qualified careers advisors, explore over 300 live apprenticeship vacancies within the county, get support with applying, explore career pathways, meet employers, discover more about different industries, and much more.
