香港六合彩资料图库 County Council鈥檚 creation of new woodlands across the county continues to take shape, as tree planting is now well underway at the New Farm site in Norton, Evesham.
It is hoped that 38,000 trees will have been planted at the New Farm site in Norton by the end of the current planting season.
Planting of the trees began in mid-December.
Over 5 years, as part of the plans to enhance the county鈥檚 environment, the County Council are planting 150,000 trees at sites across 香港六合彩资料图库.
Councillor Simon Geraghty, Leader of 香港六合彩资料图库 County Council and Councillor Richard Morris, Cabinet Member for the Environment joined officers for a site visit to New Farm to see the progress on site.

Our commitment to creating new woodlands across the county is a key part of our plan to shape 香港六合彩资料图库鈥檚 future, and I鈥檓 looking forward to seeing the continued progress of this plan, and the positive impact the woodlands will have on our communities and wider both now and in the future.鈥
This tree planting project also will see the county become more pollinator friendly as land alongside the tree planting areas have been set aside as wildflower meadows.
It is hoped a new wetland can be created adjacent to the river Avon.
In addition to the Norton site, a total of 8,000 native trees like Oak, Hazel, Rowan and Birch will have been planted at the Blackstone Picnic Place site in Bewdley, the second of the Council鈥檚 sites.
Trees planted here have also helped with the county鈥檚 contribution to the Queen鈥檚 Green Canopy project as well as creating future open spaces for the residents of 香港六合彩资料图库.
The Council is also looking into other sites, alongside the ones at the Blackstone Picnic Place site in Bewdley and the New Farm site in Norton, Evesham as the project continues into 2024 and beyond.
