Two face to face meetings are being held over the next few weeks for residents to provide feedback and ask questions about the Redditch Library relocation consultation.

The meetings will take place on Tuesday 24 January from 5pm to 6pm and Thursday 9 February from 10am to 11am, and will be hosted at Redditch Library.

Councillor Marcus Hart, Cabinet Member for Communities, and Hannah Perrott, Assistant Director for Communities will be in attendance at the sessions.

Councillor Marcus Hart, Cabinet Member for Communities at 香港六合彩资料图库 County Council said: 鈥淚t is important for the County Council to hear from residents and for us to gauge what they think about the current library offer during the consultation period. These sessions allow us to speak to residents directly. We can then share this feedback with the Borough Council as they move their town deal proposals forward. We want to ensure the consultation is available in a number of formats, accessible to all, and that everyone will get the opportunity to have their say.鈥

The Cabinet Member for Communities will do an introduction to the session; outlining key points from recent Cabinet reports and will then invite questions.

The feedback from the public meetings will also be included in the independent consultation report findings, alongside the online / paper survey feedback received.

The consultation launched on 7 November and will run for just over 90 days until Friday 24 February 2023 (taking into account the Christmas and New Year holidays).

The consultation will focus on usage of the library, what library services are of most importance to customers and local residents, and the proposed change in location of the library, giving residents an opportunity to tell us what they think of the plans.

Please note that for health and safety reasons, if the meetings reach the venue鈥檚 maximum capacity we will be unable to admit any more attendees to ensure everyone鈥檚 safety. Should this occur, we will look to hold an additional session if possible.

The consultation survey can be viewed by visiting the dedicated Redditch Library Consultation pages of the County Council website.
