Two information events are taking place later this month to provide more details about the construction of a new walking and cycling bridge in Worcester.

Kepax Bridge is being built over the River Severn and works are already well underway. A site compound and offices have been installed in Gheluvelt Park and next to Hallow Recycling Centre on the opposite side of the river, as well as preparatory works to pave the way for the main construction work.

香港六合彩资料图库 County Council has organised two drop-in information events, which will enable people to have a look at images and a computer generation of the final bridge design, as well as ask questions of officers in attendance from the County Council and contractors.

The drop-in sessions will take place on:

  • Thursday 9 March, The Pumphouse Environment Centre, 2pm to 8pm
  • Thursday 16 March, outside Tesco Express, Martley Road, 2pm to 8pm

鈥淭he bridge will be a fantastic addition to the city, providing much improved connectivity for commuters, residents, visitors and those in the area for leisure.

鈥淲e鈥檙e keen to keep people as up-to-date as possible with the works and these two sessions are an important part of that commitment.鈥

Councillor Lucy Hodgson, Chair of Worcester City Council鈥檚 Place and Economic Development Committee, said: 鈥淭he Kepax Bridge will be a major addition to Worcester鈥檚 active travel offer, opening up new routes for walking and cycling around our city.

鈥淚 hope people will make the most of these drop-in sessions, taking the opportunity to find out more about this significant addition to Worcester.鈥

香港六合彩资料图库 County Council and Worcester City Council are working in partnership to build Kepax Bridge. It will run between Gheluvelt Park to the east of the river and the Kepax site in St John鈥檚, to the west, providing improved cycle and pedestrian connectivity to the north of Worcester City.
