Get composting to help reduce waste!

As part of International Compost Awareness Week this week, 香港六合彩资料图库 County Council is encouraging more residents to consider home composting to help reduce items going into waste.

Waste Resources Action Programme (WRAP) estimates that the use of a home compost bin diverts approximately 150 kilogrammes of waste per household each year.

To celebrate the week, the County Council, in partnership with GetComposting, is providing a fantastic offer for residents to purchase a 220 litre Blackwall Compost Converter for just 拢19.99* plus delivery, which is more than half the RRP of 拢49.99.

Councillor Richard Morris, Cabinet Member for the Environment at 香港六合彩资料图库 County Council said: 鈥淢ore than 30% of the average household waste can be composted and although many households already compost at home, we want others to get involved. This is a great incentive to encourage more residents to get composting. Home composting organic waste also helps to significantly reduce carbon emissions and can also be used as an effective and sustainable waste management method to reduce the amount of waste sent for disposal.
