Even more people in Worcester are able to benefit from high-speed internet due to the area鈥檚 infrastructure having been upgraded to deliver gigabit capable broadband.

Worcester has exceeded 80% coverage and looks set to meet the Government鈥檚 85% Project Gigabit broadband target by 2025. The gigabit broadband coverage figure for the city is 80.48%, higher than the national average of 78.88%.

香港六合彩资料图库 County Council has set an ambitious target for 香港六合彩资料图库 and is aiming to reach 90% gigabit coverage by December 2027. This target will keep the county on track to reach the government鈥檚 national target by 2030.

Councillor Marc Bayliss, 香港六合彩资料图库 County Council's Cabinet Member with Responsibility for the Economy, Infrastructure and Skills said:

"The local broadband improvement programme continues to go from strength-to-strength, with more homes and business than ever before able to access faster fibre broadband.  But want to remind people of the need to sign-up to benefit from the improvements.

Our digital infrastructure has been significantly improved through a combination of private and public investment to futureproof the network 鈥 something which will make a real difference to our city.

Much of Worcester now has or will have access to Gigabit infrastructure from one of three main providers in City Fibre, BeFibre and Openreach. Residents and businesses need to check the websites of these providers to find out what products and services are available to them, so they can sign-up to access full-fibre broadband  and be able to embrace modern digital services and the opportunities that come with it.鈥

Gigabit-capable broadband provides a more reliable connection and makes it easier and quicker to do things like stream television and video services, game online, connect multiple devices, download large files, use social media, keep in touch with friends and family online, host and attend group video conferencing and shop and order products and services online.
