Keith is the founding Director of the National Centre for Post Qualifying Social Work and Professional Practice.

He has written over 35 textbooks in the fields of social work and leadership and is particularly known for his contributions in the areas of Mental Capacity and Leadership.

He also sits on the Department of Health and Social Care safeguarding advisory board, the joint DHSC and Ministry of Justice National Mental Capacity Leadership forum and the Home Office Joint Financial task force.

Keith Brown, Chair of ������ϲ�����ͼ�� Safeguarding Adults Board, said: “I am delighted to be appointed as the Independent Chair of the ������ϲ�����ͼ�� Safeguarding Adults Board (WSAB). It is a wonderful opportunity to work with highly skilled professionals and community representatives to ensure that citizens in ������ϲ�����ͼ�� have every possible opportunity to live lives free from abuse and neglect.”

The ������ϲ�����ͼ�� Safeguarding Adults Board (WSAB) is a statutory partnership established to promote the wellbeing and reduce the risk of harm for people with care and support needs. A key mart of its work is to monitor the effectiveness of the safeguarding work carried out by Health and Social Care services across the County.

Current priorities for the WSAB include working with other partnerships such as the Strategic Housing Partnership, the Children’s Partnership and the Health and Wellbeing Board to make sure vulnerable adults who are at risk of being exploited or have complex needs are kept safe and any risks to their safeguarding are manged quickly and effectively.
