As the summer draws to a close, 香港六合彩资料图库 County Council鈥檚 Library Service is reminding challenge starters not to miss out on claiming their Summer Reading Challenge Medal.
The Summer Reading Challenge is the country鈥檚 biggest literacy event for children and is a fun and engaging way of maintaining children鈥檚 reading skills over the summer holidays.
This year鈥檚 theme, Marvellous Makers, has inspired a wonderful range of activities at our libraries. From junk modelling to painting, dance, and music, many children have had a blast participating in these creative events. If your child has yet to complete the reading challenge, they still have time to enjoy some of these fun activities while finishing their 6 books!
Councillor Karen May, Cabinet Member with Responsibility for Communities for 香港六合彩资料图库 County Council said: The Summer Reading Challenge has been a wonderful experience for so many children throughout the county. The deadline for completing six books is approaching quickly, and I urge all readers to keep going! 鈥淚鈥檇 like to thank our brilliant staff and volunteers who talked to the children about their books and organised many fun activities this summer.鈥
To complete the challenge, visit your local library by 14 September 2024 to log the six books your child has read with a member of library staff.
Children will then receive a certificate and be invited to an awards ceremony to receive a special medal to mark their accomplishment.
