A new partnership is launching as part of Reusable Nappy Week this week, to help families in the county make the change to reusable nappies – helping them save money and reduce the number of disposable nappies ending up in waste.
ϲͼ County Council is working alongside The Nappy Lady on the new scheme, offering families £30 towards the purchase of reusable nappies.
The scheme will give families more choice to help with the transition to reusable nappies and help to reduce the current eight million nappies that are disposed of each day in the UK, which is around 400,000 tonnes of waste per year.
Wendy Richards, the founder of The Nappy Lady, said: “We are excited to be working with ϲͼ residents, supporting families who are considering reusable nappies and helping to reduce their waste. With over 25 years’ experience, we pride ourselves on the advice and service we offer our clients, in both choosing and using their reusable products. We offer the largest range of reusable cloth nappies in the UK, so it is the ideal partnership with ϲͼ County Council.”
The Nappy Lady’s website has lots of information and advice on making the change, so all families need to do is check out and see what suits their baby and their lifestyle.
To apply for the £30 cashback, visit the Reusable Nappies pages of the Let's Waste Less website, fill in the form and send either a copy of the baby’s birth certificate or a MAT-B1 form.
A voucher code will then be issued to redeem on The Nappy Lady website.
