Rolls-Royce has made history once again after our Trent 1000 engines powered the world’s first 100% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) transatlantic flight by a commercial airline. Wonderful to be onboard with Transport Secretary Mark Harper, ’s founder Sir Richard Branson, ’s Chief Purpose & Vision Officer and the consortium members who made it happen. Congratulations to everyone involved in this historic moment. The flight has demonstrated the capability of 100% SAF as a safe drop-in replacement for jet fuel and provides further proof that there are no engine technology barriers to the use of SAF.
