The RX4E, a four-seater electric aircraft developed by the Liaoning General Aviation Academy (LGAA), received Type Certification from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) on December 29, 2024. It is the first electric aircraft certified under Part 23 regulations for commercial use, marking a major step toward the adoption of green aviation technologies.

The certification confirms the RX4E鈥檚 safety and readiness for commercial operations, positioning it as a benchmark for electric aircraft in the global aviation industry. LGAA鈥檚 global partner, Volar Air Mobility, plans to introduce the RX e-series worldwide, targeting short-haul regional air mobility needs in regions with limited infrastructure.

In the UAE, Volar is working with the General Civil Aviation Authority to establish a Green Aviation Technology Hub. The initiative will promote clean energy solutions and local production of electric aircraft, supporting the nation鈥檚 goal of advancing green aviation leadership.
