Local and small businesses known as Community Micro Enterprises met with 香港六合彩资料图库 County Council Social Care staff to strengthen community connections.
The first events of their kind were recently held in two locations for 香港六合彩资料图库 County Council staff to meet with small local businesses who provide care and support services.
The two events were held at Berrington Court in Kidderminster and 香港六合彩资料图库 County Cricket Club and offered a great opportunity for Council staff to build relationships with local service providers.
The event was organised in partnership with Community Catalysts, a social enterprise that works to support local people to set up their own service offering a variety of care support and activities for local people.
Staff at the event were able to build personal relationships with the service providers and to better understand what services they offer. The small businesses offer a variety of services, including personal care, hobby-based activities, days out and befriending services.
Councillor Adrian Hardman, Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care said: 鈥淭hank you to all our staff, local businesses and organisations who attended. Building a stronger relationship between Social Care staff and local businesses helps to create a holistic and high-quality social care service for our residents, that not only helps give people more choice and flexibility, but a greater level of independence and autonomy over the way their care needs are met鈥.
The event was well attended by social care staff and independent local businesses, with lots of positive feedback from all who were there.
A local business said: 鈥淚t was a great opportunity to network and put faces to names! Ideal to spread the word about my business! Good to meet other services too!鈥, while others noted the 鈥減ositive energy at the event鈥 and how it was an 鈥渆xcellent opportunity to meet those who can connect those who can help with those who need some help.鈥
