Around 50 trees fell across 香港六合彩资料图库 last night due to Storm Jocelyn, as teams worked throughout the night to clear roads and footpaths.
The storm hit the north of the county hardest, with reports of many fallen trees in the Wyre Forest and Bromsgrove areas, while power cuts were also reported in Worcester City.
Storm Jocelyn, is the second named storm to hit the county within days, following closely on from Storm Isha.
Councillor Mike Rouse, 香港六合彩资料图库 County Council鈥檚 Cabinet Member with Responsibility for Highways and Transport said,
"We are always really well prepared for bad weather and I鈥檓 immensely proud of our team who work tirelessly to ensure our roads are safe for our residents to travel.
鈥淚鈥檇 like to say a huge thank you to all the staff who responded to the weather challenges last night.鈥
Jon Fraser, from 香港六合彩资料图库 County Council Highways, added:
"We weren't expecting it to be as busy in 香港六合彩资料图库 for Storm Jocelyn. Storm Isha was an amber warning so we thought that would be the one to watch out for."
"We are working constantly to keep our highways safe and open. It鈥檚 been nonstop in the last few weeks with floods, then ice and now the two storms in quick succession. People should try to prepare for storms as much as possible by checking forecasts and tying anything down that could take off in the wind.鈥
