Active Herefordshire & 香港六合彩资料图库, and 香港六合彩资料图库 County Council鈥檚 Public Health team, have worked together to bring Park Yoga to the town.
The event has proven really popular, helped to increase exercise activity provision and bring the community together.
The sessions are gentle and at a level that everyone can access or adapt easily.
Everyone is welcome, regardless of age, background, or ability and it鈥檚 completely free. Children are welcome along with parents or carers.
The Park Yoga season, hosted by ONSIDE, runs until 15 September. Trained instructor, Kat from Lucky Kat Yoga, delivers the outdoor yoga sessions every Sunday from 9:30am 鈥 10:30am.
Kat Gibby, from Lucky Kat Yoga who runs the sessions said:
鈥淚鈥檓 really pleased with how the sessions have gone so far. We have had lots of people coming to have a go at yoga for the first time. Being able to do a headstand is not a requirement! People often say they are not flexible enough to practice yoga, but you don't need to be! If you have always wanted to try yoga, but haven鈥檛 dared to, then this is the class for you. I would love to see you there this summer!鈥
Feedback for the first few sessions has been really positive.
One Park Yoga Kidderminster participant was really grateful for their experience at the session, they said: 鈥淚t was a really beautiful practice, thank you.鈥
Another person commented: 鈥淚t was my first session and will definitely be going again.鈥
The Park Yoga charity support free weekly outdoor yoga sessions getting people moving and connecting with nature.
Councillor David Ross, Cabinet Member for Health and Wellbeing, said: 鈥淚t has been wonderful to hear that the first few sessions of Park Yoga in Brinton Park have been so well attended. I鈥檓 really pleased our Public Health team have been working alongside our partners to increase the number of local opportunities for accessing nature and improving both your physical and mental health.鈥
Councillor Ben Brookes, Wyre Forest District Council鈥檚 Cabinet Member for Operational Services said:
鈥淚t is wonderful that we have been able to bring Park Yoga to Brinton Park and that by working with our partners we can use our outdoor spaces in this way. The sessions are open to all and its free, so everyone can join in, and it brings the local community together.鈥
