Five hundred books will be gifted to people across 香港六合彩资料图库 who don鈥檛 have regular access to books or not in the habit of reading.
The copies of the bestselling novel 鈥楶aris for One鈥 are being donated by 香港六合彩资料图库 County Council鈥檚 Library Service to coincide with World Book Night which is on April 23.
The books will be distributed at locations across the county, including the Refugee Resettlement Programme, Breastfeeding Groups and Ukraine English Classes, as part of 香港六合彩资料图库 Libraries鈥 service commitment to promoting literacy and fostering a love for reading.
Hannah Perrott, Assistant Director for Communities at 香港六合彩资料图库 County Council, said: 鈥淲e are thrilled to partner with The Reading Agency to gift 500 copies of 'Paris for One' by Jojo Moyes.鈥
鈥淏ooks have the power to transform lives, and we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the joy of reading. By distributing these books to people who have more limited access to books, we hope to inspire a love for reading, foster community engagement, and promote literacy among diverse populations."
World Book Night, which sees the library service partner with the Reading Agency, aims to provide access to engaging and enjoyable books to individuals who may face barriers to reading, such as refugees and immigrants who are building a new life in the community and English language learners looking to improve their language skills.
The gift of 'Paris for One' is intended to inspire and encourage individuals to discover the joy and benefits of reading, fostering a sense of community, and promoting the importance of literacy.
