Train crew members serve food and drink to train passengers. They also keep the train clean and tidy. They may serve buffets passengers, heat up food and make drinks. They push trolleys through the train and keep this well stocked.

Train crew members spend most their time working on the trains themselves.
Train crew members on average work around 37 to 40 hours a week.
Starting salary: 拢15,000
There are no set entry qualifications if you want to apply directly, although many employers will expect you to have a good standard of English and maths, some will be more flexible. Organisations may value you customer service skills and any catering experience. You could also apply for an apprenticeship. If you have an EHCP you may be able to apply under the DfE exemption which allows the apprentice to use Entry level 3 English and Maths qualifications. T
he apprentice would have to be component enough to successfully achieve all other aspects of the apprenticeship requirements, become occupationally competent and achieve Entry Level 3 in English and Maths before the end of their apprenticeship.
