Concerning further information that has been submitted in respect of the Environmental Statement for the following planning application. I give notice that on 14 May 2024, CEMEX UK Operations Ltd. wrote to Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏͼ¿â County Council submitting further information in relation to the Environmental Statement regarding a number of matters including the permanent retention of the in-situ wharf to be used in association with the above proposal for the transportation of extracted aggregate via barge to CEMEX’s operational facility at Ryall House Farm Quarry for further processing and onward delivery to the construction industry; and cumulative effects. The County Council are now seeking comments on this further information.

On the 19 March 2022 CEMEX UK Operations Ltd. applied to Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏͼ¿â County Council for planning permission for the above proposal. The application was accompanied by an Environmental Statement. The development may affect the setting of Listed Buildings, Conservation Area, Scheduled Monument and Public Rights of Way. The applicant is seeking planning permission to extract approximately 475,000 tonnes of sand and gravel in a total of 3 phases at an approximate rate of 300,000 tonnes per annum. The land would be progressively restored using on site derived overburden and soils to wetlands, nature conservation and agriculture and proposes to retain the wharf as part of the restoration of the site. The County Council previously sought comments on this planning application between 14 April 2022 to 20 May 2022 and 28 September 2023 to 30 October 2023.

A CD of the whole planning application submission is available for £20, plus VAT and postage and packaging, so long as stocks last.
