e-permits
The CVT permit is for residents who wish to use a trailer or commercial vehicle at an HRC.
The e-permit scheme
The e-permit scheme is designed to tackle a range of issues including the illegal disposal of business waste which would otherwise cost the council – and ultimately council tax-payers – more than a million pounds a year.
e-permits are available free of charge to residents of both Herefordshire and Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏͼ¿â.
The CVT scheme is now digital, meaning there is no longer a need to wait for printed paper permits through the post. Following your successful application you will receive an email confirmation allowing immediate access to our HRCs. Subject to if using a Herefordshire HRC or Bromsgrove HRC.
Upon arrival at a HRC, a Recycling Assistant will check your e-permit details on a handheld device and deduct an e-permit from your account. (Disclaimer: Your vehicle registration will be scanned only, photographs of your registration will not be taken at any time).
Remaining paper permits will continue to be accepted until their expiry, 31 March 2024.
Please note
- e-permits will not be issued for business or trade waste disposal.
- you cannot apply for e-permits if you are using a borrowed vehicle from a friend or family member; the V5C for the vehicle must be registered at the address for which the permits are requested.
- if you are using a company vehicle a letter of authorisation on official company letter headed stationary from your employer is required.
