Volunteering with the Learning Disability Day Services

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏͼ¿â County Council Day Services provide essential community and building based support for vulnerable adults with learning disabilities, physical, communication and complex health needs.

It is a safe and homely environment for people to build friendships, access fun and meaningful activities whilst providing respite and support to their parents and carers.

Individuals come to the resource centres between 1 and 5 days per week, Monday to Friday 9:00am to 3:30pm.

We offer two volunteering opportunities which will support delivery of these services as follows:

This ideally would be two sessions, consisting of 2 hours each per week, 10:00 am to 12:00pm and 1:00pm to 3:00pm on conveniently identified days which are open for discussion.

The type of activities could be focused around seasonal or cultural themes, music and drama, arts and crafts, gardening, cooking, wellbeing, beauty, exercise and accessing the community, just to name a few. We remain open to ideas that could stimulate the mental and physical well-being of our individuals.
