Royal visits
A Royal visit is a memorable occasion which honours the work and achievements of an organisation or community.
Many of the Royal visits are connected to charities and other organisations with which members of the Royal Family are associated.
In other cases, Royal visits help to celebrate historic occasions in the life of a region or the nation. Such visits are memorable occasions for the hosts, providing high-profile celebration of their work and achievements.
Anyone may extend an invitation to a member of the Royal Family though, because of the numerous demands, there is no certainty that an invitation will be accepted.
Invite a member of the Royal Family
To invite a member of the Royal Family:
- submit an invitation to the Lord-Lieutenant鈥檚 office for onward transmission to the Royal Household
- it is not necessary to specify which member of the Royal family
- The Lord-Lieutenant will then liaise with the Private Office of the prospective Royal visitor and the host organisation
- once a date has been agreed, the Lord-Lieutenant's office will then support and guide the host organisation and ensure that the day runs smoothly and is enjoyed by everyone
