Clean hands, safe hands
Washing your hands thoroughly with soap and water often during the day, then drying them properly is one of the best ways to keep you and your family safe from infectious diseases.
Getting hand hygiene right
Washing your hands is one of the easiest ways to protect yourself and others from illnesses such as food poisoning and viruses such as flu and coronavirus (COVID-19).
Alcohol-based hand sanitisers, which don't require water, are a good alternative when soap and water aren't available.
However, alcohol-based hand sanitisers may also not be effective against some illnesses like norovirus (winter sickness bug).

We have been challenging you to design an Ugly Bug poster to help keep your little ones entertained and to help prevent sickness bugs. We had some fantastic entries. Take a look at the Ugly Bug Gallery.
